We have posted the 2011/12 SARB information.  This information gives parents details on excused and unexcused absences, tardies, and financial penalties associated with poor student attendance.  It is on the left-hand side of the page.

There is some important new attendance information.  Check out the "Principal's Page" for more information.

There have been some modifications to our dress code.  Please go to the "Student Info" section, and read this section.

There have been some changes made to what is expected of your child, as they enter each grade level.  Please check it out.  Additionally, there have been some changes made to what supplies are recommended.  Again, please check this out.

Please do not park in the handicapped parking spots unless you have the correct permit.  Please save these spots for our handicapped guests.  Thank you.

If you have any new blank CD-R's, new blank DVD-R's, science, new AA batteries, or book donations, please save them and drop them off at Krystal.   Also, make sure to save used Caprisuns and "boxtops" for fundraising purposes.  Classes are also collecting the soda can tabs for the Ronald McDonald House charity.  You may bring these to Krystal, as well.

There is some exciting news from Scholastic book orders.  Please click on the link to see how you can get a free book for your child's class.

We love animals, but for the safety of our students, we need all pets kept off of school grounds.  This includes drop-off and pick-up times, as well.  Thank you for understanding.

For student safety, only students grades 1-6 will be allowed on the playground. Parents are welcome to sign-in in the office, obtain a visitor sticker, and wait in the cafeteria with their child until the bell rings.  Once the bell rings, parents may walk their child to the line-up area to meet the teacher.  The parents may then return through the hallways to the front office.

On Friday, May 11, we are sending home a parent survey.  Please take a couple of minutes to complete this form, and return it to Krystal.  We need them back by Wednesday, May 16th.  We are aiming for 100% parent participation.  Help us achieve this goal.

Take part in Hesperia's Summer Reading Program.  We are encouraging all students to read at least 12 books/magazines over the summer.  Those that do will receive a prize in August.  Your child will be receiving a chart to keep track, before the school year ends.  A flyer about Hesperia's program has been posted.

Open enrollment for grades K-6 ended March 16th, 2012. 

- A public lottery drawing was held here on Thursday, March 29, 2012.

- The lottery drawing created the list of students that will be called back and offered enrollment, if spots become available.

- The next opportunity to enroll your child in Krystal will be in the spring of 2013.

Good evening Krystal Comets: This is Mr. Kirk, with the information you need for the rest of the schoolyear. First, your child should have received a parent survey today. Please take a couple of minutes to complete this and return it before Wednesday. On Monday, the 14th, are our 3rd and 6th grade field trips. On Tuesday, the 15th, is our 4th grade field trip. On Wednesday, the 16th, the surveys are due, plus we have a PTA meeting at 3:00. Friday, the 18th, will be no school, unless we have snow between now and then. The week after, on Monday, the 21st, is our staff vs. 6th graders softball game, at 9:30 am. That day is also our Sports Day, where your child can dress up in the uniform of their favorite sports team. Tuesday will be our Awards Assemblies, and Wednesday will be the last day of school. Finally, please return your parent volunteer forms for next year. That's a lot of good stuff. If you missed any of this, I post this on our front page of our website, in the bottom right corner.
